In an attempt to express through creativity and keep sane in these challenging times, I am exploring what amuses me, and keeps inspiring me. Perhaps even creating new opportunities?
I am a writer/journalist. I write pieces on entertainment and the arts, that have been published in THE Magazine Los Angeles, and in Belgium in Filmmagie. I also have extensively worked in independent film production, as a producer and production manager, for companies including Cineville International, Lily Pad Productions, No Cents Films. From its initiative in 2005, I have been very involved as Associate Director with the Broad Humor Film Festival, a unique festival in Los Angeles for women filmmakers. For the past few years, I have managed visual artist Greg Cook (gregorydcook.com). His artwork has been in various shows in Los Angeles galleries. During Australia Week 2010, Greg participated in a highly successfully exhibition showcasing emerging Australian artists, at Bleicher/Golightly Gallery.
More recently, I did public relations for the Green Screen Film Festival at the Electric Lodge in Venice. I have a passion for the arts and the art of dance. That goes back to my arts education. Expression through creating art, writing and dance brings meaning and balance to my life and work.
